Ilustrado com uma magnífica gravura em anterrosto com o retrato do Infante de Portugal desenhada e gravada por “Olivarius Cor del et Sculp. 1746”; e com belas vinhetas e capitulares no texto gravadas por Debrie.

Obra contendo a descrição do percurso da viagem terrestre entre Paris e Lisboa, e onde o autor foi registando memórias históricas e políticas da altura.

Pedro Norberto de Aucourt e Padilha, Fidalgo da Casa Real Cavaleiro da Ordem de Cristo, Secretario da Mesa do Desembargo do Paço, etc. Nasceu em Lisboa no ano de 1704, e vivia ainda em 1759. Desconhece-se a data do seu falecimento.

Full leather 19th century binding, contemporary style of the time, mottled with raised bands and gilt tools on spine.

Illustrated with a magnificent engraving with the portrait of the Infante de Portugal drawn and engraved by "Olivarius Cor del et Sculp. 1746"; and with beautiful vignettes and capitals in the text engraved by Debrie.

The book describes the overland journey between Paris and Lisbon, and in which the author records historical and political memories of that time.

Pedro Norberto de Aucourt e Padilha, Nobleman of the Royal House, Knight of the Order of Christ, Secretary of Mesa do Desembargo do Paço, etc. He was born in Lisbon in 1704 and was still alive in 1759. The date of his death is unknown.
